Many of the animals
rescued by C.A.R.E. are sick and/or injured and require several weeks,
even months, of medical treatment. Medical costs, along with
the cost of spaying/neutering, shots/vaccinations, and deworming, are
expensive. We do not receive enough funds from adoption fees alone to
offset the costs of these necessary medical procedures. We
are
very thankful for every penny or item donated. C.A.R.E. is a
volunteer-driven organization and relies entirely on donations.
C.A.R.E.
houses, rehabilitates, and finds loving
homes for hundreds of homeless animals each year. Many
animals in
our care are awaiting
adoption, many more are undergoing medical and/or behavioral
rehabilitation, and some will spend their lives with us.
We
typically feed over 200 pounds of dry
dog food, 20 pounds of dry cat food, and use 15 pounds of cat
litter
each day at our sanctuaries and Adoption Center combined. This doesn't
include the canned cat, dog, puppy and kitten food we also feed.
These
animals wouldn't have a chance without us, and we
couldn't do it without you.
C.A.R.E
is a nonprofit
501(c)(3), no-kill
animal shelter and sanctuary that specializes in helping injured,
abused and neglected animals in the Ozarks. Unfortunately, the
associated medical costs, along with the cost of spaying or neutering,
vaccinations, and deworming, are expensive. We do not charge enough in
adoption fees to offset these costs. C.A.R.E. relies entirely on
donations. You can save a life. Make a difference!
